Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Specialized Student Services Manager for OpenEd you will be responsible for ensuring that OpenEd supports students with specialized learning needs in compliance with the requirements of our school partners in 10+ states across the country. You will liaise with our contracted schools to ensure students receive the services they need, and work closely with our Student Success team to develop and evolve processes that enable English Language Learners, students with IEPs, and students with 504 Plans to be appropriately supported in the OpenEd program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Become expert in Special Education requirements of each partner state
  • Identify and mitigate compliance risks
  • Act as primary point of contact for district partners and other entities delivering special education services to OpenEd students
  • Document and maintain all compliance requirements and district specific processes
  • Review and approve invoices for special education services delivery
  • Become internal expert for all questions related to OpenEd’s model for supporting students with special learning needs
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure we are meeting partner requirements
  • Support School Partnerships team in meeting with potential customers when a special education expert is needed
  • Develop quality assurance processes to ensure delivery of services as required by student IEPs
  • Support the Assessment team with questions related to student test accommodations
  • Answer district correspondences in a timely, and professional manner.
  • Lead by example to foster an environment that is supportive of OpenEd’s values and represent OpenEd with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
