SPECIALTY AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

As an automotive technician you will be responsible for your commitment to the company’s mission statement, to the company’s profitability, and to 100% customer satisfaction. We are committed to resolving questions and meeting our customer’s auto repair and service needs
Identify mechanical problems, either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment. ·
Handle tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function.
Repair and replace malfunctioning parts and systems, such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts in accordance with state certification.
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes, and tune-ups.
Carry out general handling of passenger, light truck, medium truck, small to large farm and industrial tires to include tire repairs, and changes.
Complete further tests, which may include test driving the vehicle, to ensure repairs are completed correctly. ·
Perform maintenance of equipment and store vehicles as requested.
Provide timely communication with management and team members regarding status and applicable needs and complete repairs in a timely manner.
Communicate and educate customers in a professional manner to discuss issues or problems with customer vehicles.
Proper handling of inventory and other shop tools and supplies.
All other duties as assigned are based on the needs of the business.
Essential Requirements
2-3 years’ work experience post state licensure /certification.
Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair, manuals, work orders, and service. ·
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
