This Specialty Doctor post is located in Norwich, Norfolk and is part of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will work with the Consultant Psychiatrist and the team to provide medical input to the community within Norfolk.
To work with the specialist multidisciplinary team and share responsibility with them for day-to-day management of the service.
To liaise with GP colleagues re medical monitoring to ensure safe and effective medical monitoring of community patients suffering from a severe or enduring eating disorder.
The postholder will form and maintain professional links with GP’s, families, carers, other mental health professionals, 3rd sector organisations and our colleagues in acute care.
Manging comorbidities and liaising with other professionals
To participate in the acute pathway
To participate in assessment clinics
To do specific reviews of patients (medication review)
To provide support to the community staff and junior colleagues
To write tribunal reports
Teaching and training of junior staff, medical students, and other disciplines.
To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance, audit and research
To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing professional development (CPD). To attend all relevant mandatory training as and when required to do so.
