Description

The successful candidate will be part of the Oral and Maxillofacial team who provide comprehensive out-patient and day case service in a busy hospital department. We are seeking to appoint a full-time Specialty Doctor to work within a committed team of Consultants in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery and Orthodontics, as well as other medical, nursing and administration staff.
There will be a requirement to undertake clinical duties at West Cornwall Hospital, and St Austell Hospital.
All aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery are covered and you will be required to work both independently and in Consultant led clinics, and be responsible for diagnosis, prevention and treatment plans.

IN ADDITION YOU WILL:

Share with colleague’s responsibility for the day to day management of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Contribute to the teaching and training of junior staff or medical students.
Have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME).
Actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit.
Attend meetings as appropriate.
Fulfil duties of weekly timetable.

The post is full-time covering general out-patients, paediatric surgery, anaesthetic theatre as well as main theatre sessions. You will have full GDC registration and a minimum of two years’ experience.
