Doctors Direct have an exciting opportunity for a Specialty Doctor to work with us at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust in Ophthalmology.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:

• Assist in and perform minor surgical procedures and intravitreal injections.
• Develop skills in cataract surgery or other relevant surgical interventions as per the department’s requirements.
• Carry out laser treatments (e.g., YAG capsulotomy, retinal laser) under appropriate supervision.
• Participate in the ophthalmology on-call rota, managing acute cases and seeking consultant advice as needed.
• Provide timely assessments for emergency presentations, including ocular trauma, retinal detachment, or severe infections.

• Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts
• Rate of pay: £70 - £85
• Payment method: PAYE we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies
