Responsibilities We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialty Registered Nurse (RN) to join our OB/GYN clinic located in West Des Moines, IA. The RN will work collaboratively with our team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across a range of obstetric and gynecologic services. This role requires clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for women's health. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care including assessments, education, and triage in an OB/GYN setting. Support providers with in-office procedures (e.g., colposcopies, IUD insertions, biopsies). Administer medications and injections, including vaccines and hormone therapies, as prescribed. Assist with prenatal care, postpartum follow-ups, and routine gynecologic visits. Educate patients about reproductive health, pregnancy, contraception, and preventive care. Triage patient phone calls and messages, assessing urgency and coordinating appropriate follow-up. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure compliance with all clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with front desk and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling. Participate in ongoing staff education, quality improvement initiatives, and team meetings. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa (required). Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred). Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (OB/GYN or women’s health experience strongly preferred). Current BLS certification (required). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in using EMR systems (experience with [insert system name if known, e.g., Epic, Athena, etc.]). Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced clinic environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
