Creates and maintains a sterile field while assisting the surgeon in delivering effective surgical intervention. The position’s duties are highly variable, so the successful candidate must be willing adapt to change and keep pace with the other OR professionals on staff. Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Graduate from surgical technologist school or one (1) year of acute care hospital experience Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Basic computer skills SST II: Two (2) years surgery technician experience in the Operating Room environment SST II: Scrub majority of service-lines independently SST II: Ability to precept others and is recognized as a resource for other staff Preferred: National certification Overview Community Memorial Health System was established in 2005 when Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura merged with Ojai Valley Community Hospital.
