Job Duties: Install, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, dishwashers, refrigerators, and grills. Perform regular inspections to ensure the equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical issues and implement effective solutions. Document all service activities, repairs, and maintenance work accurately. Collaborate with kitchen staff to understand equipment issues and provide timely resolutions. Order and replace the parts as necessary to maintain optimal equipment performance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all repair and maintenance activities. Provide training for kitchen staff on proper equipment use and care. Stay updated on the latest kitchen equipment technologies and repair techniques. Maintain an inventory of tools and parts required for equipment servicing. Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime. Coordinate with manufacturers for warranty service and technical support as needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Valid Driver's license Two (2) years of relevant experience, education preferred Strong mechanical aptitude, including electronics, steam, gas, and refrigeration. Required to be EPA certified, CFESA certified a plus but not required While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. Often will need to climb, kneel and/or crawl and balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The position is indoors and outdoors; and is exposed to hot, humid, and/or cold conditions at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
