SUMMARY OF THE ROLE As a specifications manager, you will be responsible for managing Specifications in Decorative Projects segment by initiating, monitoring, and following all major projects/Key customers to identify and penetrate strategic markets and ensure that Jotun is favorably specified and is the preferred paint supplier for all targeted projects. This position is based in Qatar and reporting to the Decorative Sales Manager – Projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with key upstream clients and project owners to influence specification decision-making at the project management stage. Maintain regular contact with clients and project owners through visits, seminars, and presentations to promote Jotun solutions. Align closely with the sales team by sharing project and specification updates to ensure follow-up and product supply. Collaborate across functions to execute the Single Source Solution (SSS) approach and ensure end-to-end project delivery, early influence, and follow-up where required. Monitor market activity, new opportunities, and competitors in the market to ensure an up-to-date project opportunity database. Identify and map projects to secure Jotun specifications and support business growth. Develop a strong professional network with government entities, consultants, architects, designers, and engineers to support Jotun’s specifications approvals by project decision-makers Track construction and paint market trends and use insights to strengthen Jotun’s market position. Support sales target achievement by securing approvals and providing regular project status updates. What we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering or a relevant field. 3-5 years of experience in Specifications, sales, or business development. Solid commercial understanding with good project management and CRM discipline. Fluency in English Preferred Qualifications: Experience in coating, construction, or other project-based industries. Experience working with government entities, clients, and consultants. Strong commercial insights with solid project management, stakeholder mapping and CRM discipline.
