Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Join our Product Integrity team as a Specification Technologist at Holland & Barrett, where you’ll play a vital role in shaping the quality and safety of our health and wellness products. You’ll develop and maintain precise product and raw material specifications that meet regulatory, safety, and customer requirements, ensuring our manufacturing processes run smoothly. Working closely with cross-functional teams—such as Product Development, Purchasing, and Manufacturing—you’ll help create Gold Standard specifications and drive continuous improvements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain finished product, interim, and customer specifications in line with regulatory, safety, and customer standards.
  • Collaborate with NPD, Purchasing, and suppliers to establish Gold Standard specifications.
  • Manage specification databases/document management systems, ensuring timely updates and version control.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of all specifications to guarantee accuracy, relevance, and compliance.
  • Evaluate supplier raw material and packaging specifications, challenging inaccuracies and ensuring consistency.
  • Oversee nutritional testing schedules: analyse data, perform calculations, and manage corrective actions with suppliers.
  • Create and maintain Mini Specifications and Quality Attribute Sheets (QAS) to support Goods-In quality control.
  • Liaise with manufacturing and customer teams to resolve specification-related issues and support efficient production.
    Location: Burton Distribution Centre - this role is based onsite Monday to Friday,
