Food Technical/QA experience in chilled food essential
Basic knowledge/understanding of food service and retailer specification systems and customer technical labelling policies
Good working knowledge of food service and retailer specification systems and customer technical labelling policies desired
Knowledge, understanding and compliance with the company’s hygiene health and safety requirements desired
Knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing process, the products made, and how HACCP is applied throughout desired
Responsibilities
Writing specifications for the major food retailers. Manage the retailer artwork and specification process ensuring all product, packaging and labelling information is in accordance with current legislation and customer requirements
Check pack copy information is correct following the specification submission
Maintenance of the due diligence database for supplier, raw material and finished product customer specifications, check and review all specifications as necessary
Update and maintain technical specification system
Liaise with departmental managers to coordinate all information required to enable specification generation
