Description

About the Role:

ACT Pathology provides essential diagnostic services to hospitals, healthcare providers, and the broader community across the ACT, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

As a Specimen Entry Officer, you'll play a vital role in supporting patient care by ensuring pathology requests and specimens are accurately processed and tracked. A typical day may involve registering specimens into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), preparing and distributing samples to laboratory areas, managing incoming and outgoing pathology requests, responding to telephone enquiries, and helping ensure results and specimens reach the right destination on time.

Working as part of a supportive team in a fast-paced laboratory environment, you'll contribute to the accurate and efficient delivery of diagnostic services that clinicians and patients rely on every day.

This role operates on a rotating 24-hour, 7-day roster and offers the opportunity to gain experience in a critical healthcare service.
