Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Problem Resolution Specialist to join our team in Lakewood, CO. This position will investigate and drive solutions so specimen issues can be addressed accurately and efficiently. They will provide product education and handle a wide variety of questions while ensuring a world-class customer experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Customer Service and motivated to work with a customer centric team in an innovative company.
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Additional days and hours may be required depending on business needs.
Pay Range - $16.50 - $31.83/hr

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates degree or higher is preferred
  • Prior medical/clinical laboratory experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Comfortable handling biological specimens
  • Ability to accurately identify specimens
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Strong data entry and organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to pass a standardized color blind test

Responsibilities
  • Act a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients.
  • Resolve internal & external customer requests via calls, instant messenger & email communications
  • Communicates with customers in respectful and professional manner.
  • Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions.
  • Provide customer education and information as needed.
  • Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and triage specimens for analysis.
  • Accurately identify and label specimens.
  • Pack and ship specimens as necessary.
  • Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
