About the Role: The Specimen Reception Evening Supervisor plays a vital role in the management and running of Specimen Reception in Pathology. In this role you will be responsible for managing a team of Technical Officers, ensuring there is adequate staff coverage, the accuracy of data entry and patient identification, ensuring turnaround of results including prioritisation of specimens, and identification of urgent requests, and providing troubleshooting assistance with all enquiries. The ideal candidate will bring experience in pathology specimen handling, along with strong organisation, communication, and time management skills. They will also be capable of supervising and supporting a team within a fast-paced environment. This position is full time 12:00pm-8:00pm, with occasional participation in a 24 hour/7-day rotating roster as required.
