DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:
MITRE is at the leading edge in solving problems in wireless communications, signal processing, and PNT [position, navigation, and timing]. This position is for a senior spectrum scientist to assist in MITRE’s current and prospective work on identifying, prototyping, and evaluating various spectrum sharing, compatibility, and spectrum management concepts.

Candidates will have a background in electrical engineering, physics, computer science or mathematics and a strong foundation in signal processing and knowledge about communication/SIGINT theory and/or PNT theory along with understanding the impacts of these domains with the application of AI/ML approaches. We are also looking for experience in information and communication system engineering, estimation and classification, radar systems, and image and video processing.
The candidate should have academic and/or professional experience with as many of the following topics as possible:
