MASTER’S DEGREE IN SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY, ACTIVE SLP LICENSE AND 1+ YEAR OF SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available at an elementary school serving students from kindergarten through 2nd grade. This contract role runs from ASAP through June and is located in Bloomfield, CT.
This opportunity involves providing direct speech and language therapy to young learners while supervising a Clinical Fellow (CF) and a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Candidates should have sufficient experience to effectively mentor and oversee these team members while managing their caseload.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech and language services to K-2 students
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student communication goals
  • Supervise and guide a CF and SLPA in clinical practices and documentation
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal education regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of therapy programs

Qualifications:

  • Current Connecticut license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working with early elementary aged children
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor Clinical Fellows and SLPAs
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
