We are looking for a motivated Adult Community Speech and Language Therapist to join our small team. The successful candidate will be interested in providing excellent patient care in the community setting, whilst helping develop our service further. The post is 22 hours and is a band 6 based at Malton Hospital.
Our service provides care for patients with acquired communication and swallowing disorders. We offer appointments by home visit, outpatient clinic, telephone, and video. Our caseload includes neurological degenerative conditions, care homes, two community hospitals, voice and stroke.
We are a supportive team who work together closely. We are keen to provide excellent patient care, help develop your skills and for you to help develop our skills. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss further. Please note a UK driving licence and being able to travel independently between sites is essential for this role.
To deliver of high level, quality care and evidence-based interventions in line with local and national guidance within adult acquired community caseload.
To deliver SLT intervention in both autonomous and multidisciplinary working.
To plan, provide and evaluate interventions within an identified clinical area.
To participate in the delivery of service specific training as required
To support identified assistants
To undertake administrative duties as required
To manage a caseload, including self-directed planning and time management within identified clinical area.
