Join our dynamic team at Oak Vale Gardens’ 18-bed specialist neuro-rehabilitation service in Liverpool. We are an integral part of the Cheshire and Merseyside Rehabilitation network, dedicated to providing exceptional level 3 inpatient rehabilitation support to adults with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological conditions, including PDOC cases.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in assessing, intervening, and providing consultation on cases involving complex communication, swallowing difficulties, and tracheostomy care.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Recognized Speech and Language Therapy qualification.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Specialized training and experience in assessing and intervening in cases of complex communication, swallowing difficulties, and tracheostomy care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of communication and swallowing disorders in individuals with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing difficulties.
• Provide consultation to the interdisciplinary team, contributing your expertise to enhance overall patient care.
• Collaborate closely with specialist Nurses, Rehabilitation staff, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation Consultants, Activities Coordinator, and Neuropsychology professionals.
