ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • BSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
  • Experience working with children, preferably in educational or residential settings
  • Knowledge of communication needs associated with autism, learning difficulties, or developmental trauma
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Full UK driving licence (due to travel between Grantham and Boston)
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team full-time in Grantham, Lincolnshire. You will work primarily across our children’s home and school settings, with regular travel to support another children’s home in Boston.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary team, making a lasting difference in the lives of young people with speech, language, and communication needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess and identify children’s speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN)
  • Develop and deliver tailored therapy programmes, including 1:1 and group interventions
  • Work closely with education and care staff to integrate communication strategies across settings
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans accordingly
  • Provide training and guidance to staff teams to support communication-friendly environments
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records and reports
  • Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to review processes
  • Travel regularly to the Boston site to ensure consistent therapeutic provision
