Develops and administers speech therapy programs and treatments for inpatients and outpatients of age groups defined by clinical competency, which may include neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The duties of this position require patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED 1. Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology. 2. Must be certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for all age groups. 3. Must be certified (CCC) by the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association, or meets the educational requirements for certificate and in the process of accumulating the supervised experience required for certification with completion in one year. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED 1. Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other government regulations. 2. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY THE STATE OF GEORGIA 3. Current licensure by the Georgia State Board of Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology. Work Hours: 8-430 Weekend Requirements: Yes
