Description
We are searching for a Speech Language Pathologist - Outpatient -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you plan, evaluate, organize and implement Speech-Language Therapy treatment programs in the area of speech, feeding/swallowing, language, and learning disorders in a developmentally and age-appropriate manner for patients primarily between the ages of 0 –adulthood. Responsibilities: * Performs patient evaluations/consultations and interprets results * Provides results verbally to patient and/or family/caregiver and/or to referral source * Develops treatment plan in conjunction with patient and/or family/caregiver * Implements treatment plan and monitors progress on an ongoing basis * Maintains records as required by law, IDS policy and administrative regulations * Documents evaluation procedures, results, diagnoses, and recommendations * Attends and participates in continuing education programs as required to maintain licensure and promote professional growth * Promotes speech-language pathology services within the community and the IDS   Qualifications: * Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology field of study required * CCC-SLP certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association to be completed by 10/29/2024 or within 12 months of entering the role, whichever is later. * TX SLPINTRN - Speech Lang Path TX Intern Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Or TX-SLP - Texas Speech Language Pathology Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Strategically located throughout the greater Houston area, Texas Children's Specialty Care offer the same high-quality pediatric subspecialty care as our hospital – right in your neighborhood.
