Description

JOIN OUR MISSION OF INCLUSION AND EMPOWERMENT

At Community Options, we believe that communication is at the heart of connection — and every child deserves to be heard. We are an Edmonton-based non-profit committed to inclusive early childhood education, early intervention therapy, and family support programs that lay the foundation for a lifetime of growth and success.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you’ll join a passionate, multidisciplinary team working to empower families and support preschool-aged children with diagnosed disabilities — directly in their community settings. This full-time role offers a meaningful opportunity to help young children connect, express, and thrive by providing direct therapy.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and support a caseload of up to 25 children with a range of developmental diagnoses and communication profiles, focusing on communication, social interaction, speech, and language development.
  • Develop and implement Individual Program Plans (IPPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members (OT, PT, Coordinating Teacher, Assistants).
  • Use standardized and non-standardized tools to assess and evaluate communication strengths and needs.
  • Conduct program visits at a student’s childcare or preschool site.
  • Supervise and mentor SLPAs, assigning service plans and reviewing session notes.
  • Guide EAs in using communication strategies within daily routines.
