SKILLS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Multilingual abilities are an asset.
  • Experience in community-based services is a plus, but new graduates are welcome!

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments in the community using standardized tools.
  • Work with clients facing a variety of challenges, including those recovering from strokes or neurological issues affecting speech, communication, and/or swallowing.
  • Develop care plans based on evidence-based practices and clinical expertise.
  • Utilize a hybrid model of care, combining face-to-face and virtual sessions, to provide the best possible service.
  • Collaborate with clients’ families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to set and achieve care goals.
