Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: Vaughan, Ontario
Position Type: Full-time/Part-Time/Freelance
Reports To: Owner/Director
The Speech and Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. This role involves working collaboratively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at improving communication skills and enhancing the quality of life for clients across the lifespan.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Member of CASLPO in good standing
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Ontario.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a specific area of interest, such as pediatric, adult, or geriatric populations.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.

  • Work closely with families, caregivers, educators, and other healthcare professionals to support client goals.
  • Provide education and training to families and staff on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and coordinate care.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, ethical standards, and organizational policies.
  • Professional Development:
  • Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
