As our new school opens, we’re recruiting top talent! Providence is an Alberta Education approved ECS program with a long-established history of providing therapeutic and educational services to children across 7 schools in Calgary. Our programs are designed to support young children who may not be meeting typical developmental milestones. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a passion for working with young children to join our growing team as a Speech-Language Pathologist. The working hours are from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday.
As a condition of Providence, all staff must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide valid police check with a vulnerable sector screening.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s graduate of a Speech-Language Pathology degree program from a recognized university.
  • Registered with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
  • Proficiency with word processing and software packages for language development and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
  • Experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist with children. Successful practicum experience with good references is an asset.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Must be willing to travel within Calgary and to surrounding areas.
    Personal suitability NOTE: This position requires lifting and carrying demands that require the ability to bend at the waist, stoop, and twist frequently, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, the ability to carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs, and the ability to stand, walk and sit frequently.
