Duties and Responsibilities Administer screenings & comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients. Complete all essential documentation & forms accurately & efficiently, as required by law & facility regulations, related to the screening & evaluation of a patient, including, but not limited to, physician orders, evaluation, care plan, etc. Administer standardized tests/measures (Western Aphasia Battery, Montreal Cognitive Assessment, Mann Assessment of Swallowing Ability, etc.) for each evaluation, and periodically (at least monthly, and upon planned discharge) for regulatory and documentation compliance. Adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Test and measure a patient's oral motor function, swallowing function, speech production, language comprehension & expression, cognitive-language skills, secondary language skills, voice & fluency, and record findings to develop or revise treatment programs. Use evidence-based treatment techniques, exercises, and activities to improve functional speech, language, cognition, swallowing, voice & fluency. Qualifications Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in this state. Must have current and up to date CPR certification. Experience with varying age groups and healthcare settings preferred.
