As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at QLI, you will be a prime navigator in this journey. As an SLP, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team approach and be involved in a resident’s routine. Not only will you complete traditional treatments such as swallow evaluations, diet assessments to increase independence, addressing voicing and vocal impairments, and evaluating compensation and recovery techniques, you will also have the unique opportunity to create one-of-a-kind activities to reach a resident’s recovery goal. Some goals might include: helping a Dad learn to read again so he can read to his daughter’s kindergarten class helping to simulate a work environment so a woman can return to work complete real-life interactions at a store so a young adult can get his own groceries providing brain injury education while on-site or through Zoom sessions Is it for you? Education and Certifications Must be 18 years or older (required) Must have a current and unencumbered license (or temporary license) to practice in the State of Nebraska as a Speech Language Pathologist (required) Must have ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or Clinical Fellow in the process of certification.
