JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team at Barclay House. The ideal candidate will have experience in speech and swallowing therapy, with a thorough understanding of physiology, medical terminology, and anatomy. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders. The Speech Therapist will work closely with patients to develop personalised treatment plans that enhance their communication abilities and overall quality of life.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in swallowing and speech therapy is essential.
  • Experience or/and undersanding of head acquired brain injuries.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and anatomy is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent qualification is required for this role. We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those with communication challenges.
