POSITION SUMMARY:

ErinoakKids is seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill a position as Speech-Language Therapy Assistant. Under the direction of a Speech Language Pathologist, the Speech-Language Therapy Assistant will assist in providing individual and/or group therapy programs to children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group therapy to preschoolers in the areas of articulation, motor speech, language, and social communication.
  • Prepare and coach parents in the implementation of individualized home programs.
  • Prepare and organize materials and treatment rooms for client programs.
  • Train clients in the use of various types of communication equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all treatment activities.

Qualifications:

  • Communicative Disorders Assistant Diploma or equivalent;
  • Clinical experience working with children with a wide range of speech and language difficulties;
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent time management proficiency;
  • An ability to display a high level of initiative;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting;
  • Bilingualism is an asset;
  • Current C.P.R. and First Aid.
