Description

Our mobile allied health service is seeking a registered Speech Pathologist to join our team. You will primarily be working with NDIS participants (mainly children) in their homes or community settings. Your role will involve assessment, therapy, and family education to support children with communication and swallowing needs. This role will be primarily contract-based, beginning with half a day per week and gradually increasing. Many cases are around Croydon and Mooroolbark, VIC.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent).
  • Current SPA (Speech Pathology Australia) membership or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Speech Pathologist (preferred, but new grads welcome).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a family-centered therapy approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
  • Organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience working with children and NDIS participants (preferred).
  • A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments of clients’ communication and/or swallowing needs, including speech, language, fluency, voice, and social communication.
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans tailored to client goals, in collaboration with families and support networks.
  • Provide therapy sessions in home or community settings.
  • Educate parents, carers, and support workers on communication strategies and home practice.
  • Write therapy progress notes and NDIS reports for support coordinators and case managers.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals and support services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
