SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and SPA Registration,
  • A passion for working with individuals who have disabilities to help each client to achieve their own goals, potential and participate in their community in a way that is meaningful for them,
  • Exceptional communication skills that enable you to work in a culturally rich and diverse environment and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment,
  • Effective time management and attention to detail,
  • Passion for making a difference with a focus on making therapy fun, engaging and meaningful for clients and families!
  • Experience in working with children and adolescents and confidence in your role working closely with their families is highly valued,
  • Compliance requirements – SPA Registration; Working with Children Check; National Police Check; NDIS workers screening check; First Aid Training; Driver’s License & Vehicle.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based assessments and therapy to a paediatric, adolescent and adult caseload – providing direct, family based and community-based support to individuals with developmental delays and/or disabilities,
  • Day-to-day in the role will include assessment and intervention sessions with a mixed caseload in terms of both age and modality of intervention, working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary context to deliver quality, evidence-based outcomes,
  • Work closely with key stakeholders providing information, education and support,
  • Ongoing evaluation, training and review to ensure the delivery of quality services to clients.
