Job Description: Part Time / Fixed Term position until 29 January 2027 1 day (8 hours) per fortnight Challenging and rewarding work environment Best practice implementation About the Role You will work within a flexible, interdisciplinary structure, that ensures the delivery of high quality therapy services to all clients of the Young Adult Complex Disability service (YACDS), making sure that the client’s needs are met and they receive ‘the right treatment in the right place at the right time’. There is a significant clinical component of this role. You will: Assess and manage referred patients in accordance with up-to-date knowledge of departmental clinical policies and currently accepted Speech Pathology Australia professional standards of practice Provide clinical leadership in maintaining an evidence and outcomes based service Develop and maintain an up to date knowledge of community based providers suitable to refer YACDS patients to. Classifications for this position will range from classification range VW6 – VW9 ($104,135.20 - $118,981.20 per annum, pro rata for part time). The YACDs supports patients, their families and carers to transition into the adult health care system from children’s health services. The YACDS is available to adults, aged under 40, with a history of developmental disability such as cerebral palsy or other medical conditions. Intervention provided includes assessment, treatment and short term management which is time-limited and goal–orientated.
