SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor or Masters of Speech Pathology (or equivalent)
  • Eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience
  • A passion for working with children and adults with disability
  • Evidence-based, functional and creative approach
  • A valid drivers licence and car
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills
  • High level of negotiation and problem solving skills
  • High level of planning and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team
  • Innovative, resourceful and adaptive to change
  • Proficient skills in client management systems, and Google Suite

Responsibilities
  • Engage and deliver excellent speech pathology services to a diverse caseload, from ages 4 up to and including aged care.
  • Conduct speech pathology in the comfort of the client’s own home or preferred environment in order to align with the ICF framework and achieve functional goals.
  • Engage with clients with a variety of diagnosis and presentations under the NDIS and other government funding schemes.
  • Engage in regular supervision sessions, mentoring and reporting sessions in order to continually and consistently feel supported while enhancing your clinical growth and expertise.
  • Regularly evaluate progress and outcomes, using relevant clinical assessments.
  • Participating in regular team meetings to discuss outcomes with clients, family members and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports that aid future planning, budgeting and recommended strategies.
  • Engaging in regular group and partnered case studies in order to continually build and develop your clinical expertise.
  • Be part of an excellent speech pathology team with a combined 50 years of experience in the industry and a fantastic modern team culture.
