THE POSITION:

We are seeking an adult speech pathologist (prior experience preferrable) to join our team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provision of services at Port Macquarie Private Hospital in acute & rehabilitation wards, Residential Aged Care Facilities, one-on-one therapy in clinic, home visits, Telehealth, communication partner training (CPT) and education.
  • Provision of high-quality evidence-based assessment and treatment across a broad clinical range of practice including dysarthria, aphasia, dysphagia, voice, multimodal/AAC, VFSS & dyspraxia.
  • Working with clients and their families to set goals and develop intervention plans.
  • Providing comprehensive, functional and detailed reports to clients and relevant professionals.
  • Collaboration with other professionals including GP’s, Specialists, Support Workers & Psychologists.
  • Outreach to our surrounding areas may be required.
  • The opportunity may arise for supervision & support to junior staff members or students, depending on candidate’s experience.

  • You will receive quarantined supervision.
  • We conduct monthly EBP/case conference chats for clinicians to present a complex client for debriefing or latest evidence.
  • We hold bi-monthly meetings for both adult and paediatric clinicians to discuss operational and clinical related topics.
  • We hold quarterly culture & engagement meetings where clinicians have an open forum opportunity to raise concerns and make suggestions for improvements
