Your part in The Wesley Hospital team As a Speech Pathologist at The Wesley Hospital, you will be involved in the care of patients in the neurology, acute stroke, rehabilitation, medical, surgical and critical care within the hospital, working with patients to assess, diagnose, treat and manage a range of communication and swallowing impairments. With a focus on delivering high-quality clinical expertise, you will be an experienced practitioner, providing clinical practice development and training opportunities to less experienced allied health staff, assistants and students, under the guidance of senior clinical staff. You will deliver high quality speech pathology clinical services across a number of clinical areas, incorporating strategies within speech pathology processes and treatment plans, with a commitment to providing exceptional person-centred care. Tertiary Degree in Speech Pathology Certified practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia Minimum 2 years post graduate clinical experience in acute tertiary hospital setting Experience with Videofluoroscopic Swallow Study desirable Competency in Tracheostomy desirable Commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork and high-level communication skills Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to manage complex and variable caseloads Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements What makes a difference for you?
