QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
• State licensure and certification (e.g., APHRA, ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence)
• Experience with most age groups or disorders may be preferred

• Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
• Identify disorders such as stuttering, articulation issues, aphasia, and dysphagia
• Treatment Planning
• Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each patient’s needs
• Set measurable goals and track progress over time
• Therapy & Intervention
• Conduct one-on-one or group therapy sessions
• Use evidence-based techniques to improve communication and swallowing skills
• Collaboration
• Work closely with families, teachers, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
• Provide guidance and training to caregivers on home-based exercises
• Documentation & Research
• Maintain detailed records of patient progress and treatment outcomes
• Stay updated with the latest research and therapeutic methods
