Job Description Position Purpose Speech Therapist (Family Life Center) - to create a distinctive and exceptional therapeutic space for infants and children that will improve their health and quality of life. Improving access and opportunity to children from poor communities with limited resources will be instrumental in improving health equity and decreasing disparities. This uniquely created area will design and implement programs to improve the individual child’s areas of need and increase overall function and participation. Individualized assessments, treatment plans, progress assessments and goals will be monitored at each session with family input and in accordance with each child’s abilities towards achieving optimal function and movement and prevention of injury. What you will do: *Evaluations are conducted with thoroughness and efficiency, including appropriate tests and measurements. * Sets functional, realistic, and measurable goals and the patient demonstrates consistent achievement of those goals. * Designs a functional treatment plan that is reflective of prescribed therapy and incorporates applicable reimbursement issues. * Re-evaluates and discharges patients within appropriate time frames. Minimum Qualifications: Education & Qualifications * Florida state licensure in State of Florida is required. * MA/MS degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required. *Pediatric experience preferred. * Must currently hold or be in the process of completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
