Moorings Park is looking for a Speech Therapist. The Speech Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and consultation services to individuals experiencing communication and swallowing disorders. This position will be in our skilled nursing facility. The Speech Therapist ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective speech therapy services in compliance with all applicable State and Federal licensure and certification requirements, as well as organizational policies and procedures Contributions: * Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients’ communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs. * Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the patient, physician, and interdisciplinary care team, adjusting plans as necessary based on patient progress and condition changes. * Establish appropriate, measurable, and realistic goals and regularly assess and document patient progress toward those goals. * Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding therapy techniques, home programs, and safety considerations. * Coordinate care and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of services across all settings. * Accurately and timely document all assessments, treatment sessions, patient progress, and communications in accordance with professional, legal, and organizational standards. * Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, in-service education, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities. * Maintain current knowledge and competency in the field through continuing education and adherence to professional licensure requirements. * Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all applicable HIPAA, State, Federal, and organizational regulations and standards. Job Requirements: * Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required * During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster. * Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Speech Therapy from an accredited program. * Current and valid state of Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license. * Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required. * Current CPR certification. * Meets CEV and HIV licensure requirements.  * Florida driver’s license and proof of insurance are required. * 1 year of experience preferred   Moorings Park ® Communities, a renowned Life Plan organization includes three unique campuses located in Naples, Florida.
