BACHELOR’S DEGREE FROM AN ASHA-ACCREDITED UNIVERSITY, ACTIVE SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT (SLPA) LICENSE AND MINIMUM 1+ YEARS SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a dynamic K-12 educational environment. This contract position offers the chance to contribute to the academic and social success of children by assisting with speech and language interventions under the supervision of certified Speech-Language Pathologists.
Responsibilities include assisting with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs), conducting speech therapy sessions, documenting student progress, and collaborating with educators and therapists to support student development in communication skills. The role requires working closely with students who have a variety of speech and language needs, ensuring a supportive and encouraging atmosphere to foster growth.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Experience working with children in a school-based setting, preferably K-12
  • Ability to follow therapy plans and accurately document progress
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and therapists
  • Knowledge of speech and language disorders common in school-aged children
