Description

SPIRITUAL CARE COORDINATOR

Location: Eldercare Head Office at Eastwood
Type: Part Time 0.6 FTE - days flexible
At Eldercare, our purpose is heartfelt and profound: to bring peace of mind through compassionate care that nurtures mind, body and spirit.
As one of South Australia’s leading not-for-profit aged care providers, we’re dedicated to supporting older individuals with dignity, respect, and genuine connection. We foster a welcoming, inclusive workplace where every team member is valued and empowered to make a meaningful difference.
When you join Eldercare, you become part of a community built on integrity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to continuous growth.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

We’re seeking an experienced leader to guide Eldercare’s Spiritual Care Approach. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in theology/ministry, counselling, pastoral care or equivalent from an appropriately accredited program.
  • Capacity to work at Level 3 or 4 of the Capability Framework for Spiritual Care Practitioners.
  • Completing a minimum of one-year full-time spiritual care experience upon completing four Clinical Pastoral Education units.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and administration skills as a Coordinator and/or Senior Spiritual Care Practitioner.
Responsibilities

This is a rare opportunity to deliver a contemporary spiritual care model across a multi-site residential aged care organisation. Reporting to the General Manager Wellbeing and Allied Programs, you will share a passion for supporting older people to maintain important spiritual connections, and receive meaningful and inclusive spiritual care.
As Eldercare’s Spiritual Care Coordinator, you’ll lead and champion our Spiritual Care Approach, ensuring every individual is supported in mind, body, and spirit.
In this high impact role, you’ll oversee the delivery of integrated spiritual care services that reflect Eldercare’s overall wellbeing strategy and Model of Care, where spiritual and emotional wellbeing are recognised as vital to quality aged care.
You will introduce and drive continuous improvement in spiritual care practice, including ongoing program monitoring and strategy development. You’ll provide vision, direction, and professional guidance to an established team of site-based Spiritual Care Practitioners, and other organisational leaders, through training, coaching and sharing best practice.
