ABOUT EVOLVE PSYCHOLOGY

At Evolve Psychology, we do things differently. Founded in 2014 by Dr Laura Powling, Evolve Psychology began with a bold aim to redefine what clinical and forensic psychology means in practice. Laura’s vision was simple yet powerful, to bring care, connection, empathy and clinical excellence together, with no compromise.
What started as a small practice delivering expert witness and neurodevelopmental assessments has blossomed into a national independent psychology service. We earned our first NHS contract in 2021, launched satellite clinics to streamline access, and rolled out neurodevelopmental services to families across the UK. In 2023 we were awarded a further contract in Dublin, to help support the HSE on the assessment of need pathway in Ireland.
We are clinician‑founded and clinician‑led, proudly registered with HCPC and affiliated with the British Psychological Society, CORU, PSI and the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists. We’re also award-winning, a testament to the dedication and quality of our multidisciplinary team of over 100 experts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

We welcome applications from both Specialist Teachers and Educational Psychologists with relevant SpLD assessment experience.

· For Specialist Teachers:

• Level 7 qualification in dyslexia and/or dyscalculia assessment and support.
• Active professional Body Membership with the BDA, PATOSS and/or The Dyslexia Guild.
• A valid Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) from BDA, PATOSS or The Dyslexia Guild.

· For Educational Psychologists:

• HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Training and experience in assessing SpLDs, including dyslexia and/or dyscalculia.
• Proficiency in standardised assessment tools for dyslexia and dyscalculia
• Excellent report writing and the ability to meet DSA standards where required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain diagnostic outcomes and support plans clearly to individuals and families.
• Independent working skills and confidence to contribute to a remote, multidisciplinary team.

THE ROLE

We are looking for experienced professionals to join our specialist team delivering high-quality diagnostic assessments for dyslexia and/or dyscalculia.
As a Dyslexia and/or Dyscalculia Assessor at Evolve, you’ll conduct detailed assessments for children, young people, and adults, and produce comprehensive, professional reports that support access to the right interventions and adjustments - including eligibility for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) where required.
At Evolve Psychology Services, we equip our clinicians with cutting-edge tools and operational support to help them focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care to the individuals and families we work with.

You will be responsible for:

• Conducting diagnostic assessments for dyslexia and/or dyscalculia using gold-standard tools and frameworks.
• Delivering tailored assessments for children, young people, and adults in line with their developmental needs and learning profile.
• Producing clear, comprehensive diagnostic reports that meet professional, educational, and legal standards (including for Disabled Students’ Allowance).
• Providing accessible, practical recommendations to support individuals’ educational and workplace success.
• Ensuring timely, accurate documentation and upholding GDPR and professional compliance standards.
