Job Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Data team and contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable and robust data solutions. In this role, you will build and maintain modern data architecture, pipelines, and models to support a wide range of data-driven initiatives across the organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, analysts, and project managers to ensure that data is available, accessible, high-quality, and actionable. Qualifications Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain scalable data architecture, including databases, data lakes, and data warehouses Build, automate, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and process data from various sources Integrate heterogeneous data sources into unified, high-quality datasets for analytics and reporting Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and reliability across the entire data lifecycle Manage and optimize data infrastructure in terms of performance, storage, and operational costs Act as a technical lead, coaching other data engineers and promoting development best practices Develop and maintain data processing code using Python, Spark, SQL, or similar technologies Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of data platforms Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for data processes and architectures Monitor and maintain production data pipelines and systems Share knowledge and best practices with IT and business stakeholders Technical skills Must-have Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or in a similar role Solid experience managing and operating modern data platforms Hands-on experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS S3, Athena, Glue, Redshift or equivalent on Azure/GCP) Experience with Databricks or other distributed data processing platforms Strong programming skills in Python, Spark, SQL Experience with data processing frameworks and automation Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.) Knowledge of data preparation or orchestration tools (e.g., Dataiku, Airflow) Relevant cloud certifications are a strong asset Good-to-have Experience in the utilities, energy, or finance industries Familiarity with systems such as CRM or ERP solutions (e.g., Salesforce, SAP) Experience with Agile project management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira) Understanding of financial reporting processes Additional cloud certifications (Architect, SysAdmin) Soft Skills Strong team player with excellent communication abilities Able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences Comfortable working in multicultural and cross-functional environments Adaptable to evolving technologies and changing business needs Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Education & Professional Background Bachelor’s or Master’s degree 7–10 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar technical role Languages Fluent in French & English Dutch is a strong plus Additional Information All our positions are open to people with disabilities Level of Experience: 5-10 years Department: System & network functions Types of work contract: Permanent
