QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a registered psychologist/provisional psychologist, or an equivalent title that the College of Alberta Psychologists recognizes, to be able to see clients in the province of Alberta. If you are in the process of becoming registered with CAP, you may submit your resume; however, we will not be able to hire until the designation is official.
• The applicant must have extensive experience in a sport or performance field (athletics, music, coaching, etc.) at a high or competitive level. This field is something that the applicant must know firsthand to foster meaningful connections with our clientele.
• Applicant must have, or complete as soon as possible, training in EMDR.
• The applicant must have a previous or ongoing commitment to seeking therapy themselves.
• Must be able to be vulnerable.
• Applicant must have excellent communication and social skills. An affinity for public speaking will be a beneficial asset. Must be able to have difficult conversations or disagreements with conscientious curiosity.
• Applicant must have an open and flexible personality. This team excels when its members are eager to take risks and are excited about creating or enhancing new systems, techniques, and or strategies.   Pay: $150.00-$175.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Edmonton, AB T6E 5Z

Provide in-person psychological services for Mindbuffs clients. Open to hiring a sport and performance psychologist who does not live in Edmonton, but can see clients online as long as they live in Canada and can be registered with CAP.
Support the Mindbuffs’ vision of building a team of sport and performance psychologists who can combine their individual efforts to bring lasting cultural change in sport, business, art, esports, and first responder industries.
