ESF Explore seeks enthusiastic Sports Assistants to join our various teams on a part-time, hourly basis. A Sports Assistant (SA) plays a crucial role in supporting the Coach(es) throughout each session by upholding health and safety standards while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The sports programmes offered include: Basketball Football Multi-Sports Swimming The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Role Model Offer guidance, support, and encouragement to young students Supporting the Lead Coach(es) Session delivery Demonstrate and supervise activities Uphold coaching or activity rules Set up or pack away equipment Student pick-up and dismissal Health & Safety Risk Assessment Assist in identifying, eliminating or mitigating potential hazards Report on Accidents & Incidents Administrative Registration of students Transferring equipment and distributing materials Requirements and Personal Attributes: Must be at least 16 years old Patient, energetic, and approachable Passionate about sports and physical education Interest in coaching, teaching, and working with young children Flexible to assist after school, on weekends, and during seasonal holidays Proficient in written and spoken English At their discretion, the Programme Manager of each respective sport may assign voluntary training hours, which will encompass practical experience and exposure. It is important to note that these voluntary training hours will be unpaid. Students participating in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme can fulfil two Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) requirements—specifically in Activity and Service—through their involvement as a Sports Assistant. Notes: Applicants must be permanent residents of Hong Kong or possess a valid visa for employment in Hong Kong. Applicants are required to have a bank account in their own name. Applicants participating in the CAS programme shall not be eligible for an hourly rate until they have fulfilled the requisite number of hours established by their respective schools or CAS coordinators.
