Description

THE TEAM/DEPARTMENT

You will be working as part of the University’s sport department ( Sport Hallam), specifically within the Sport Development Team. As a department, Sport Hallam works to provide a diverse range of opportunities and services to enable students, staff and the local community to positively connect with sport and physical activity.
The Sport Development Team works together to coordinate activities ranging from recreational and social activity, fitness and wellbeing programmes and competitive sports, aiming to foster a vibrant and inclusive sporting culture on campus.
We offer a diverse range of benefits and opportunities to pursue a rewarding and fulfilling career in a supportive environment.
You will be contractually enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) – one of the largest and most generous defined benefit pension schemes in the country.
Find out more about the LGPS
If you are, or have been, a recent member of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) directly prior to joining us, you can choose to opt out of the TPS and remain in the USS. Please contact the Pensions team to discuss options available.
If you are offered this post you will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service. A criminal record will not necessarily prevent you from working at Sheffield Hallam University but its relevance to the duties of the post will need to be assessed before the appointment is confirmed.
