QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for sports and physical activity, with a willingness to lead and participate in various games and sports
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Responsible, adaptable, and energetic with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
  • Experience working with children in a camp, school, or recreational setting is an asset

    Pay: $1,000.00-$1,800.00 per month

Responsibilities

We are seeking passionate, responsible, and energetic individuals to join our team as Sports Camp Counsellors. In this role, you’ll help lead fun, engaging, and safe sports-based programming for campers of various ages. Sports Counsellors play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive camp experience, supporting camper development, and promoting teamwork, skill-building, and camp spirit through physical activity.

  • Assist in delivering high-energy sports and recreational activities in a safe and inclusive manner
  • Supervise and engage a group of campers, ensuring their physical and emotional wellbeing
  • Encourage campers’ participation and skill development through positive reinforcement and coaching
  • Collaborate with the Sports Unit Head and fellow counsellors to plan and facilitate daily programming
  • Set a strong example as a role model, demonstrating respect, teamwork, and responsibility
  • Support camper transitions, meal times, and general camp routines throughout the day
  • Ensure all activities follow camp safety protocols and maintain proper use of equipment
  • Help manage camper behavior with patience and positive guidance, escalating concerns when necessary
  • Communicate effectively with peers and leadership staff, contributing to a supportive team environment
