JOB OVERVIEW

The Sports Facility Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our sports facility as well as driving growth in sales and contributing to strategic direction. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, strong customer focus and a comprehensive understanding of facility management, maintenance, and project management. The ideal candidate will ensure that the facility is safe, well-maintained, and fully operational, while also providing an excellent experience for all users.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in management or supervisory roles within a sports or recreational facility is desirable.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A self-starter who will take the initiative and drive growth.
  • Excellent customer relationship and inter-personal skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills to manage daily operations efficiently. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about sports management and facility operations to make a significant impact within our community.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: £12,750.00-£19,050.00 per year
    Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week

Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall operations of the sports facility, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to foster a positive working environment.
  • Oversee maintenance activities, including mechanical and electrical systems, to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Develop and implement project management strategies for facility upgrades and improvements.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in good working order by conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Prepare reports on facility usage, maintenance needs, and staff performance for senior management review.
  • Actively drive growth in number of users and sales.
  • Generate ideas to develop services offered and to increase sales.
