YMCA Humber is a charity that specialises in supported accommodation for over 100 young people in communities around North East Lincolnshire. We provide education and training, mental health support and youth activities to support young people across the Humber.
Within our Youth and Community provision our goal is to enable every child and young person to have access to a range of supportive and engaging opportunities, allowing them to develop and grow.

SPORTS FACILITY OFFICER.

Based at Clee Fields Sports Development Facility on Ladysmith Road, our Sports Facility Officer will play an essential front facing role in the implementation of day-to-day functions at our brand-new community and sports facility here in the heart of Grimsby.
You will have the skills to develop positive working relationships and be responsible for the completion of all the hands-on operational duties, providing a safe, clean and welcoming facility for our customers, service users and the local community.
With previous experience working within a sports facility, you will have the ability to safely prepare activities ensuring service users access and vacate the assigned areas in accordance with their sessional bookings. In addition, you will work pro-actively, undertaking daily checks identifying any equipment or building defects, breakages or faults.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and experience working in a customer facing environment, primarily within a leisure and community environment. With the ability to communicate with and control large numbers of people accessing our services you will have a confident manner and be fully committed to the principles of excellent customer care.

Job Role Specification:

• This key role works to an 18 hours per week permanent contract.
• The ability to work flexibly is essential as service delivery will be managed over 7 days.
• Salary for this role will be based upon a rate of £12.60 per hour.

Hours of work:

• Monday Evening until 10.00pm
• Friday Evening until 10.00pm
• Sunday Daytime
