Description

The Education and Semi-Professional Football Academy (ESPFA) are looking for a Sports Tutor to join our education team, to work at two of our education and football study programme academy hubs in Prescot and Sandbach.
At the ESPFA we are extremely passionate about education and the academic development of our students. We are of course always happy to see footballing competition, achievement and progression; however, education has to be the primary endpoint for all of our students.
The programme, for 16-19 year olds has a weekly time table of education lessons and football training as well as competing in ESPFA league and cup on Thursday afternoons.
The successful candidate will be required to work from 9am - 5pm on Monday - Friday, four days teaching on site with one day dedicated to admin.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A successful candidate will be responsible for delivering lessons/sessions to young people aged 16-19 as part of the hubs sports-based study programme.
  • The post holder will need to be able to work both flexibly and independently, but also as part of a team. They will deliver Sport qualifications at Level 3 in a group setting.
  • Liaise with ESPFA management staff on the progress of students throughout the academic year.
  • To communicate with our education providers throughout the year regarding courses and educational material.
  • To undertake any safeguarding duties that may occur throughout the academic year.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

  • It is desirable but not essential for candidates to have previous experience of teaching Sports at Level 3
  • Candidates will need to hold a relevant teaching qualification and have excellent communication skills.
