Wheeling University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in sport management within the Department of Business, beginning January 2026. We seek a dedicated educator and scholar who is passionate about teaching, advising, and contributing to the mission and academic excellence of Wheeling University. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in sport management, along with other general business courses. In addition to teaching, this position requires advising and mentoring students, engaging in scholarly activity, and contributing to program development and accreditation efforts. Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate courses in sport management and general business disciplines Advise and mentor students, particularly those pursuing careers in sport industry Contribute to curriculum development and ACBSP accreditation efforts Maintain course materials, syllabi, and student records (including attendance on Canvas) Hold regular office hours and conduct end-of-semester assessments Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work Engage in scholarly research and professional development activities Required Qualifications: Master of Science in Sport Management, and Sport Leadership At least 5 years of college-level teaching experience Significant professional experience Demonstrated commitment to teaching and student success Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary department is desirable. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. or D.B.A. in sport management, athletic administration, or sport studies ABD will be considered too Significant professional experience Experience with ACBSP-accredited programs Working Conditions and Physical Effort Standard office and professional environment.
